The National Youth Strings Academy showcased their skills in Aberdeen's Music Hall on Saturday, 31st July, as part of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival 2010. They performed Britten's Simple Symphony and Bartok's Romanian Dances in AIYF's 'Strings Attached' concert" which featured traditional and cultural string music from Canada, Africa and Europe.
Aug 1st - NYSA at Macduff
NYSA also performed at the Macduff Arts Centre on Sunday 1st August and in the Sanctuary at Queen's Cross Church on Monday 2nd August. The concert programmes included performances of Shostakovich: Chamber Symphony arr.Drew; Corelli: Concerto Grosso Op.6 no. 2 in F major; Dvorak: Nocturne; Finzi: Romance; Vivaldi:Concerto for two Violins.
