2001 Washington DC Tour
Special mention must be made of Mr Jeff Hoisington of the Episcopal High School in Alexandria, whose tireless efforts on our behalf throughout the whole week made our stay so enjoyable. He and his wife even took the trouble to come and hear us at the Capitol Hill concert on our last evening, having put up with us all week. Another member of the audience on that occasion was John, NYSA’s favourite driver. This is the second time he has driven us all around Washington, and he is still looking forward to the next time we go there even after all that singing on the way back to Alexandria!
During the 2001 tour NYSA gave concerts at the following locations
The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage - Washington DC
Capitol Hill - Washington DC
Church of the Epiphany - Washington DC
The US Army Band have invited us to return on a regular basis every two years and I am hopeful that we will be able to do this, especially as we now have an open invitation to play at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage any time we want to.

Since the dreadful events of September 11th our thoughts have been very much with all our friends and supporters in Washington DC, especially as we passed the Pentagon every day on our journeys into Washington from Alexandria for concerts and sight-seeing.
